Medical Anthropologist, Shaman, and Healer

You may recognize Alberto Villoldo Ph.D. as the Director of the Center for Energy Medicine or as Founder of the Four Winds Society. He trains modern shamans in the practice of energy medicine in Chile and investigates the neuroscience of enlightenment. Alberto has studied the shamanic healing practices of the Amazon and Andes for more than 25 years. Along the way, he discovered that his journey had been guided by his personal desire to become whole. Alberto learned to transform old pain, grief, anger, and shame into sources of strength and compassion.
