Isabelle Benarous on Self-Healing vs Healers | Wednesdays with Kryon
What Isabelle Benarous revealed on Wednesdays with Kryon about conflict, illness, and the intelligence of your subconscious mind.
What if the illness you've been fighting was never your enemy?
That's the question Isabelle Benarous posed in one of our most powerful Wednesdays with Kryon conversations yet. As a specialist in bioenergetic healing and the mind-body connection, Isabelle has spent years working with people who carry unresolved emotional conflicts in their bodies, not as a metaphor, but as literal, biological programs running in the subconscious.
And what she shared will likely change the way you look at every symptom, diagnosis, or emotional trigger in your life.
The Event Is Not the Problem
Isabelle explains that two people can experience the exact same event and come away with completely different realities. One man loses his job and collapses into worthlessness. Another loses the same job and thinks, "They weren't good enough for me."
The event didn't create the feeling. The program did.
That program was written long before you had words for it — in childhood, in the womb, even in the unspoken stresses your parents carried while you were being formed. Your subconscious has been running that code ever since, attracting circumstances that mirror the original conflict, looking for resolution.
When the Body Offers a Solution
Here's where the conversation became extraordinary.
Isabelle shared the story of a woman who developed MS after a ski trip where she felt deeply devalued — terrified of falling in front of her friends for four days straight, but too proud to say anything. Three months later, MS arrived. And from the subconscious mind's perspective? That was a perfect solution. If you're paralyzed, you can't fall.
This is what Isabelle calls the secondary gain of illness — the hidden benefits that keep a person from wanting to heal. In this woman's case, MS brought her friends to her bedside. It freed her from a teaching job she hated. It provided a government pension. Her body had, in its own strange logic, given her everything she needed.
She told Isabelle, "Stop working with me. I don't want to heal."
It's a confronting story. But it's also a liberating one, because if the subconscious created the illness as a solution, the subconscious can be given a new solution. One that doesn't require suffering.
The 3-Step Investigator Exercise
Isabelle walked us through a practical tool you can use the next time something triggers a painful emotion. She calls it becoming your own investigator.
Step 1: Accept the feeling as an opportunity.
Don't push it away. Don't numb it. Recognize that the discomfort is a signal, not a sentence. Something in you is ready to be seen.
Step 2: Ask "What does this remind me of?"
Go back as far as you can. A childhood moment. A family pattern. Something your mother felt when she was pregnant with you. When you find the origin, you step outside the current story and into the role of investigator. You are no longer inside the problem.
Step 3: Generate excitement about your discovery.
This is the part most people skip, and it's the most important. Not grief. Not blame. Genuine excitement. "I figured it out!" That state of aliveness neutralizes the pain. It gives your subconscious a new emotional charge to associate with the memory. And over time, the program loses its grip because it's been brought into the light.
The Healing Phase No One Warns You About
Isabelle also addressed something that many people on a healing path misinterpret as a setback: the exhaustion that follows a breakthrough.
When you resolve a conflict and your body shifts from stress mode into parasympathetic healing mode, you will likely feel wiped out. Tired. Ready to do nothing. And that is exactly right.
The indicator that you're healing rather than declining? You still have an appetite. You want to rest, eat, watch something easy, do nothing, but you're not in pain or fear. Your body is simply doing the repair work it's been waiting to do.
You Are Above the Clouds
Isabelle closed with an image that felt very Kryon:
"You are a soul having a human experience. You are way higher than what's happening to you. Live above the clouds. The clouds are just programs. You don't need to push them away. You take one at a time, work on it, and move on."
This is the Kryon teaching made visceral and practical. You are not your diagnosis. You are not your conflict. You are the awareness watching it, curious, excited, and more powerful than any program your subconscious has been running.
